So as promised, I have a photo of my newly acquired stash to share with you today. I actually feel I was quite restrained, having cash left over wasn't in the plans!
Starting top left we have, Fibre2Go DK in a gorgeous bright Aqua, some more Skeinz Heritage Polwarth for some new designs (SO SOFT) some bright Skeinz Urban to crochet some minions...
Light blue super soft bulky cotton, Red Riding Hood DK in 'Shake your Bon Bons, ' more heritage polwarth, and sock yarn. x5.... a combination of Vintage Purls, Jodulbug and Fibre Alive.
Also some buttons from Jodulbug and a bottle of a new yarn softener rinse also from Skeinz.
Not too bad is it! I had a lot of fun fondling all the yarns at the market, and talking to yarnies that I have only ever purchased from online before.
KAN was a lot of fun, but it also timed perfectly to be in the right city, the week my Grandma turned 94. So on the Sunday, my kids, my Mum and my Aunty, and I, went out for a lovely lunch with Grandma, to a favourite spot (Clifton Cafe at Te Awanga Beach for any locals). And I gifted Grandma the shawl I knit her. Well once again, she proved her knit worthiness and put it on straight away, even without a brooch to pin it (how she generally wears these things). She kept fondling it and looking at the lace and generally appreciating it, which is a sure sign she likes something!
